CrunchDeals: Complete Stargate SG-1 DVD collection for only $99

I will argue with anyone that, if watched from beginning to end, Stargate SG-1 is the most complete Sci-Fi series of all time. It’s my one vice in life. If you don’t believe me, spend 100 bones and get the complete collection from Amazon and watch it from the R-rated first episode. It’s actually a hell of a deal down from $329. You get 54 DVDs spanning 10 seasons with 24 episodes each. The entire run time is 9900 minutes or 165 hours which is a lot of Stargate. It’s a great show that even my wife enjoys.

Here’s a low price on a big 42-inch TV. Newegg is selling the Corion Digital Lifestyles 42" 720p LCD HDTV for $499, plus $50 for shipping. Today only, though, if you pay with Paypal, you can get 15% cash back up to $50 – so it’d be $500 out the door.

The TV itself has the following specs: 1366×768 resolution, 500 cd/m2 brightness, 8ms response time, ATSC/NTSC tuner, 2 HDMI inputs, component/composite/s-video inputs, PC inputs, and two 10-watt speakers. And, of course, the price is quite nice. Corion Digital Lifestyles 42-inch 720p LCD HDTV [Newegg.com via dealnews]

I hereby declare 2008 to be The Year of the Netbook! They’re like the Beanie Babies of the technology sector. Here’s Samsung’s offering, the NC10, for $449 on Buy.com if you pay with Paypal. The NC10 got Laptop.com’s editors’ choice award thanks to its “spacious keyboard and more than 6 hours of battery life” – so there you go.

Specs include a 10.2-inch display at 1024×600, Atom N270 CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, six-cell battery, and XP Home – all in a 2.8-pound package. Not bad for $450.

Walmart.com Has Nintendo Wii In Stock Today

December 8, 2008 by · Leave a Comment

Nintendo has already promised that we won't see Wii shortages this holiday like the years of yore, but just in case you've procrastinated scoring one before Christmas, Walmart will have "tens of thousands" available online today.

The catch is, of course, that Walmart is selling both $250 Wiis and the needlessly more expensive Wii bundles we've all come to know and love (though to be fair, they've got some offers with both decent games and hardware today).

But basically, if you want to score just a Wii, then get shopping now. If you procrastinate yet again, your child's tears are not on our conscience. [Walmart via Kotaku]

Office Depot Black Friday Ad Leaked [Black Friday]

November 18, 2008 by · Leave a Comment

The closer we get to Black Friday, the more leaks we're getting and they are all proving to be kind of... well, mediocre. This one from Office Depot is not bucking the trend, but they do have a few good deals on smaller items. It'll be nothing to clamor for, arms flailing and shrieking like a harpy, at 6am on Friday morning, but if you happen by a neighborhood store, here's a couple things that could be worth dropping some cash on.

Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse - $4.99

SanDisk 4 GB USB Drive - $9.99

HP 15.4″ 3 GB Memory 160 GB Hard Drive Notebook Model G50-112NR - $349.99

Toshiba Satellite 14.” 4 GB Memory 200 GB Hard Drive Notebook Model M305D-S4831 - $489.99

Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007 - $69.99

Samsung 23″ LCD HDTV Model 2333HD - $279.99

Black Friday Deals: Sam’s Club Wii Bundle for $224

November 12, 2008 by · Comments Off

Sam’s Club has a hella good Black Friday doorbuster item. For only $224, the discount warehouse is selling the Wii, two bonus Wiimotes, two bonus Nunchucks, Mario Super Sluggers, and King of Clubs Mini-Golf. Yeah, I know, good deal. You get all that for $25 less than a Wii alone. It might even be good enough to forgo post-turkey sleep and wait inline with soccer moms at 2:00am to ensure you get one of ‘em. Just make sure you’re a Sam’s Club member before Black Friday.
